Lightning Autofill alternative without a monthly fee
Lightning Autofill is a capable form filler, and if you rely on its JavaScript automation it is still the right tool. But many people only use it to fill the same fields on the same sites, and hit its free daily limit or don't want a monthly bill for that. Here is a plain comparison, checked on 23 October 2026 (prices can change, so check their pricing page too).
Plans side by side
| Lightning Autofill | Autofill Forms by Rule | |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | 10 executions per day | No daily limit; 3 profiles and 25 rules |
| Paid | Plus USD 4.99/month (unlimited executions, cloud sync); Pro USD 9.99/month (adds JavaScript automation) | One-time key from USD 9 (unlimited profiles and rules, Lightning Autofill CSV import) |
| Per-site and regex rules | Yes | Yes, on the free plan too |
| JavaScript automation | Yes (Pro) | No |
| Cloud sync | Yes (Plus and Pro) | No; data stays in your browser |
Moving your rules over
- In Lightning Autofill, export your rules as a CSV file.
- In Autofill Forms by Rule (Pro), import the CSV. Text, password, select, checkbox and radio rules are imported.
- JavaScript rules, actions and variables are not imported: they are listed as skipped, with the reason, and never run.
Which one should you use?
- You need JavaScript automation, macros or cloud sync across computers: stay with Lightning Autofill.
- You fill the same fields on the same sites and want no daily cap and no subscription: a one-time rule filler is enough.
